Rearranging boot files

I have a small doubt, is it possible to Re-arrange the Boot menu that appears when you start your machine? Currently Ubuntu is at top and Windows is the very last one. If we dont make a choice for some seconds, it automatically boots Ubuntu. Can I swap this with Windows being default if the user doesn't make any choice?
I found this on the forums , it is a little old, but the process should be the same. I just tried it and it does work as it should. First install startup-manager via Ubuntu Software Center, you can find the package by searching for startup.
Then, open the startup manager and select Windows 7 as the default, close, restart and it should work. Yes you can. StartUp-Manager can be used to select the default operating system for grub. Windows 7 User Interface.
Sign in to vote. I want my files first and the program icons last. On XP I could just right click the mouse and rearrange it that way but that option is gone from the menu. Wednesday, November 4, AM. Thank you for your question. If I got your question right, you want to be able to arrange the items inside the All Programs menu of the Start Menu.

According to my test, there is no such option in Windows XP. If you can capture a screenshot of this option, it is easier to let us understand it.
Thank you. Friday, November 6, AM. BUt if I hit the 'Sort by Name' option it sorts all the files first then the programs. Win7 is not doing that. The Sort by name doesn't even work. I tried moving somethings around and then clicking the option and nothing happened.
OMG I just reordered them again to my liking and then I decided one folder can go into the other and right before my eyes it reordered programs to its own liking again with the programs first and the files last. This is a hair pulling moment.

No it won't save Vivian Its inconvient that I have to re-order 20 files and 16 programs to the way I want every time they decided to reorder. How come you guys put the different sort options in the explorer windows but not in the Start Menu? If I decide to move anything into another folder in my Start Menu all chaos breaks out and I have to re sort all over again and thats time comsuming.
If I had a different sort option in Start Menu I could have been done with two short clicks cause like I stated before I want my files first and my programs last.
